About me
Jamie (EagleEyedGirl)
Jamie started taking photos using a camera when she was 6 and a half years old. Dad offered her his camera one day while they were out on a nature walk and she took to it like a duck to water. Her natural hand eye co-ordination and love for birds in particular has produced some amazing images for someone of her age.
“I love going out and exploring nature reserves and common land all over the country trying to see magnificent scenery and nature at its best – out in the wild….although this does take a lot of patience which I’m working on!”
She still has quite a list of birds and wildlife that she intends to capture through the lens which may take a lifetime to achieve but with it will come some wonderful times and enhance her love of nature.
She has been successful in a number of competitions (even against entrants much older than her) and is always on the lookout for the next goal. (Latest News)
“I started with a Nikon D500 (which is dad’s camera!) and a 70-200mm lens, and have since moved on to the D850 and Z9 with a 600mm lens as I grew bigger and stronger!
Dad now says I’m better than him at capturing birds!”
She has been successful in a number of competitions (even against entrants much older than her) and is always on the lookout for the next goal.
She hopes that her images will help others see the beauty in nature and the planet around us, along with helping to promote awareness of what we as the apex predator need to do to help conserve what is here today so that it can still be here tomorrow and forevermore.
